About the Speakers:
Astha Karkee is a Clinical and Behavioral Nutritionist with experience of working as nutrition expert for over five years. She has worked as nutritionist for “FirstCry FitJunior Project” of India, worked as a researcher at Symbiosis University, India. She has created over 100 healthy recipes. She has worked with over 500 people on diet planning and nutrition consultation. She has research publications on different areas-diabetes, food borne pathogens, etc. She is also a columnist of Medicos, a popular health magazine. Current she is a nutritionist at Mitahara. She was featured and interviewed by BBC Nepal, Nepal TV.
Supriya Bhattarai is a Clinical and sports nutritionist and a strong advocate for 'moderate eating'. She is interested in sports physiology, gut health, nutritional biodiversity, human behaviorism, and genetics. She is co-founder of Mitahara, an enterprise that aims to change eating habits in the country by promoting sustainable and healthy food choices. She holds MSc in Clinical Nutrition from Symbiosis International University with specialization in sports. She has worked as a Clinical nutritionist at Hams hospital and Arogin care home for about two years. Also, she is a faculty member and researcher at College of Applied Food and Diary technology. Supriya has had media appearances in BBC, News 24 and the good health podcast.
