Man Kumari Thada

Man Kumari Thada is a development worker with a Master’s degree in Population Studies from Tribhuvan University (2010). She has done a Graduate Diploma in Social Sciences from the Nepa School of Social Science and Humanities (2013). She has more than 12 years of work experiences in the humanitarian and development sector in Nepal. She has received several fellowships for research: Apprenticeship Grant Award for Research (2007) from the Social Inclusion Research Fund (SIRF/SNV); Chautari Research Fellowship (2009) for study of inclusion in higher education by Martin Chautari; Social Science Baha Scholarship from Social Science Baha (2013); and Indigenous Research Fellow Grant (2014) from the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities (NFDIN). Her expertise is in project monitoring, program evaluation, electronic data collection and analysis. She is also a board member of Magar Writers' Association. She has published a few academic articles in different journals and books including "Structures of Denial: Student Representation in Nepal's Higher Education" (2008; co-authored); "Female Participation in Technical Higher Education" (2011; in Nepali); "Magars of Dhankuta: A Case of Socio, Cultural Status" (2022; in Nepali) and "Magars in Development Sector” (2023; in Nepali).
