CP Aryal submitted his PhD dissertation in the Department of Sociology, South Asian University, New Delhi. His research centers on marriage, family, caste, kinship, gender, maoist insurgency, social movements. Currently, he is a visiting faculty in Kathmandu University, School of Arts.
